The RBS pound exchange rate forecasts: April tends to be a month that favours the British Pound

pound sterling forecast

The latest pound sterling exchange rate forecast from RBS has backed the GBP, saying April is a month that traditionally favours the sterling. (Forecast table here).

But, be warned, April also favours the Australian dollar. After sustained Aussie dollar losses are we in for a rebound in the pound - Australian dollar rate?

Backing the pound is the uptick in the UK economy.

This week saw the construction, manufacturing and importantly the services PMI readings beat analyst forecasts.

The Bank of England is now widely expected to quit its money printing programme as a result.

This is a firm pound sterling positive.
